Russian Tea Cookies
A delightful ball of goodness. A sweet little confection covered in powdered sugar with "crumble away melt in your mouth" texture. The warm cookies are rolled in powdered sugar giving them an icing-like coating. They are then sprinkled with more powdered sugar to give them a bright snow covered look, hence the nickname “snowballs” and their association with Christmas time. They are also a traditional wedding treat, often referred to as Italian or Mexican wedding cookies. The Europeans typically use hazelnuts or almonds, while the Mexican variety almost always contain pecans.
