Korean Marinade
Many varieties of meat can be marinated in this traditional Korean marinade, but the most common is beef that is very thinly sliced and skewered before cooking over a hot grill. The pear acts as a tenderizer and should be allowed to work for a minimum of 12 hours. Basting as it cooks will allow the marinade to caramelize and, as it drips onto the coals or bottom of the grill, it will create smoke which will also add flavor the meat. Use one serving per pound of meat to marinate.
