Negroni
The most common version of the origin of the Negroni is that it was
created in Florence, Italy in 1919 by bartender Fosco Scarselli when Count
Camillo Negroni asked for a stronger version of the Americano with gin
rather than soda water. The bartender also changed the garnish to an orange
to differentiate it from the Americano.
There are several variations of the Negroni, such as the Boulevardier and the Negroski (which substitutes vodka for gin).
